Feels great to be back!
You could notice I’ve been out for some months now that was because I was called to service by the government through the National Youth Service Corp (NYSC). This scheme was first put in place after the civil war to encourage national growth, security and peace all over the country in the sense that as a fresh graduate your sent to serve your country wherever you’re been posted to by means of Community Development Service (CDS). You’ll be posted to schools in both rural and urban areas to reachout to the rural/urban dwellers by means of teaching, creating awareness or CDSs depending on the your field of study in order to decrease the rate of illiteracy, sharing in other cultures and thus impacting in their minds the need for peace whether you’re from the North, West, East or South-South we’re one Nigeria.
On camp during orientation
Now, as Godly Corp members we’re seizing this opportunity to spread the gospel of Christ. In our duties for the government we also have our duty as Christians to preach the gospel as Jesus commanded us in Matthew 28:18-20 GNB
By the divine grace of God I was called up for service this year. I’ve been in and out of orientation camp which lasted for 3wks and I’ve signed up to be a full time missionary meaning my whole 1yr of service the government will be used for missions’ for the service of God. I’m on the mission field by the way, still trying to cope with the activities and the standard of living here. It’s not easy though, leaving a place of luxury for a place where there’s no electricity, very limited mobile network.
I’ll be posting once every month. On my next post I’ll be telling you the history and origin of the missions’ ministry, missions’ objective, vision and on going projects and accomplishments.
I’m not just posting to get conversions on my analytics. I want you to have a visual knowledge on what mission is and the sacrifices made by missionaries.
What’s life worth living if not for God – I said that 🙂
